Join us for a workshop designed to help doulas understand the credentialing process, complete key registrations, apply with health plans, submit claims, and navigate reimbursement.
Workshop purpose: This workshop will help doulas feel more prepared and confident as they move through the Medicaid credentialing process. Participants will receive practical guidance, examples, and follow-up support to better understand registration, health plan credentialing, claims submission, and reimbursement so they can continue expanding access to doula care in their communities.
Workshop objectives:

Describe the steps in the Medicaid registration process, from initial application through reimbursement.

Identify the documents, systems, and resources needed to begin credentialing, including liability insurance, NPI registration, CHAMPS, and electronic medical records options.

Navigate key health plan provider portals and understand how to begin health plan credentialing.

Explain basic claims submission steps and common billing terminology used in the Medicaid reimbursement process.

Apply workshop resources and follow-up support to move forward with their own Medicaid credentialing next steps.
